Great PR For Scots Couriers

Scotland’s leading independent Courier company featured in an article on Hellmail Postal News online, following their excellent efforts to be more environmentally friendly.

Drivers from Eagle Couriers completed the Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving (Safed) course.  The course is designed to make van and HGV drivers safer on the road as well as teaching them how to improve their fuel efficiency when driving.

Jerry Stewart, Director of Eagle Couriers said: “This kind of training is very important for any business in our industry. Becoming more fuel efficient is not only good for the environment, but is also beneficial to business bottom line, as we will ultimately be saving more money on fuel.

“Where possible our drivers use shorter routes and drive at the optimum speed for fuel efficiency, helping us not only reduce our fuel emissions but also ensure that our drivers make deliveries on time.”

The Safed course was launched in 2003 to help companies make savings on fuel and be more green.

Eagle Couriers has bases in Glasgow, Bathgate and Edinburgh and has almost 30 years experience in the business.
