Scotland’s leading courier company Eagle Couriers has told Tachos, Trucks and Trivia website Tachoblog that their delivery vans are having travel thousand of extra miles due to the ongoing tram works in Edinburgh.
Tachoblog explained that the tram work are costing couriers “a fortune” in extra miles, lost time and bigger fuel bills.
Jerry Stewart, director of Eagle Couriers said to Tachblog: “Until now we haven’t seen any estimates on the hidden cost of the tram works for firms like ours, so we decided to look into it ourselves.”
