Having discussed with Co-Director, Jerry Stewart, the hurdles that firms face in adopting electric vehicles, we thought it wise to devise a 500 word comment piece expressing how the Scottish government could help – by looking at the achievements of pioneering nations.
Our work generated some stellar results which included:
  • High-value coverage, with a print exclusive in The Scotsman – getting to more than 20,000 ABC1 readers, including political and business influencers.
  • Online Scotsman coverage – reaching those no longer getting their news from the paper – with close to 300,000 unique daily users potentially coming across the article.
  •  ‘Extra’ online coverage in ScotlandB2B and CourierNews – reaching important business and courier industry readers.
  • Comment piece uploaded to Eagle Couriers’ website by HPR and promoted through social channels, along with a blog post linked to the topic.
This is just the latest element in our long-running efforts to help position Eagle Couriers as a prominently and positively as possible.  It is already the biggest, independent courier company in Scotland, with a fleet of more than 100 vehicles based between Glasgow and Edinburgh. However, we helped establish Eagle Couriers as a leading voice in wider transport and logistics issues, including the efficient management of Scotland’s road networks.
We ensured directors of the company became a staple contact for the Scottish media at times of crisis on Scotland’s roads, being sought out for expert comment on major issues affecting motorists and business road users. That resulted in Scotland’s newly appointed Transport Minister contacting Eagle Couriers directly to seek their advice on winter road planning.
More recently Eagle Couriers were again highlighted as a firm with real reach and influence when Transport Minister Humza Yousaf turned out at the firm’s Bathgate HQ for a visit and photo call. See a round up of the extensive coverage and also check out the gallery of eye-catching images.
As well as media and political influence, our hugely successful PR work with Eagle Couriers, also helped position the firm as one of the greenest in the country – after we unlocked the full potential of the company’s professional accreditations and turned the unpromising material into a wealth of media gold.
As a proud Scottish PR Agency, we love to share our clients’ successes, so we always go the extra mile to help them – establishing them as trusted experts at the same time.

Eagle Couriers has enjoyed a massive boost in its public profile since working with Holyrood PR to help tell its stories to the world.
