Beauty and skin care expert

DollyLeo Apothecary is Edinburgh’s leading independent retailer of niche beauty and skincare brands and luxury in-store treatments.

The up-market boutique recorded a healthy turnover since opening in July 2008 and had to increase staff levels from three to seven after clients rushed to get their hands on its exclusive beauty treats.

Public relations coup for DollyLeo

Sadie, who worked as a celebrity make-up artist in London before launching DollyLeo Apothecary in the city’s Stockbridge area, said: “I am delighted that DollyLeo Apothecary has progressed into the final of the O2 X Female Entrepreneur of the Year award.

“It is great to be recognised in a business capacity especially as the competition in the regional heats was so tough.

“I am thrilled we received the biggest number of votes to allow us to progress and now I hope I can do enough to impress the judges when they interview me.”

Simon Devonshire added: “This years winners will not only walk away with the O2 X Award prize of £5,000 and the acknowledgement that they have the been recognised by our expert judges but more importantly by other entrepreneurs across the UK.”
