Digital PR experts create a 42% spike in website visits
Scotland’s Walking Charity, Paths for All has seen more than 300 clicks directly to its website from PR material, as experts at Holyrood PR strive forward with digital PR campaign.
Not only does the team deliver award winning campaigns, there is also a big focus on helping boost our clients SEO and link building, which is why we have added a success measurement through a unique Bitly link.
Bitly is a platform that allows its customers to shorten and customise web links which can monitor web traffic through specific metrics, including elements such as: type of people and when the link was clicked.
The unique link is included in all media releases, however we can’t guarantee the specific link will appear in coverage; but when it does, it allows us to monitor its performance.
By tracking and recording links, it enables our digital PR experts to report not only coverage stats but key information on how many people the PR material has driven to the website.
Paths for All’s spike in link following was recorded after the success of its Humans of the Walk campaign, which aimed to encourage everyone around Scotland to get walking everywhere, every day.
The team organised an outdoor portrait photography exhibition, featuring people of all ages from across Scotland out walking and sharing their inspiring stories, which was visited by more than 6,000 people and secured a place to be showcased within the Scottish Government foyer.
The campaign reached more than three million people, with coverage across all media platforms. After the campaign we uncovered a pattern, only revealed by our trackable links, which showed a 42% increase in traffic year on year to PFA’s website.
Across an eight month period, our digital PR team have since recorded a jump of 340 clicks, an average of 42 clicks to Paths for All’s website per month.
From the digital success of this campaign, our team believe trackable links deliver real time, important results which have a massive impact on our clients’ business.
