How a simple email generated a cool collaboration between great taste award winners thanks to our digital pr experts
The collaboration kicked-off when Mackie’s forwarded our Digital PR team a chance email received from Tayport Distillery, with the idea of creating a campaign joining the award-winning Mackie’s Traditional Ice Cream and Tayport Distillery’s Raspberry Liqueur.
Our team got stuck in and delivered the following results:
- Instagram reach of 2,661
- Facebook reach of 4,881
- Interaction from multiple food and lifestyle influencers across Instagram
- Widespread coverage in specialist food and drink titles and local papers
The joint social campaign generated great interest across Facebook and Instagram throughout the run-up to Christmas, charming followers with the idea of bringing a taste of summer to the cold winter.
A large proportion of social media users took further action in the form of shares, likes, and page visits, and the campaign even drew attention from multiple food and lifestyle influencers.
Our Digital PR team knew this would be the perfect pairing between two hands-on family-run businesses.
Both products have received prestigious Great Taste Awards, with Mackie’s real dairy ice cream hailed by the judges as:
‘Simply delightful. A well-made ice cream that champions the flavour of the cream, is well balanced, fresh, and the simplicity allows the ingredients to be heroed.’
Tayport Distillery also celebrated a prestigious win of three stars and the supreme award of “Golden Fork” in the 2020 Great Taste Awards for the 1992 Raspberry Liqueur, featured in the competition.
