Dermal Clinic's Jackie for Edinburgh PR

A LEADING Scottish cosmetic clinic has announced an international partnership with an American digital health company which will have a hugely positive impact for weight loss patients.

Edinburgh-based Dermal Clinic has teamed up with award-winning Qardio and will use its innovative health monitoring devices as part of its Alevere Weight Loss programme, enabling patients undergoing the treatment to be monitored remotely.

The tie up marks the first collaboration for Dermal Clinic in the U.S. and will see Alevere patients benefit from the use of products QardioArm, a smart blood pressure monitor, QardioBase, a wireless scale and body analyzer and health care platform QardioMD.

One key element of Alevere is finding ways in which patients can adopt good habits at home and these products will allow for the seamless integration of weight management into everyday life.

Jackie Partridge, BSc (DERM) RGN NIP and founding Director at Dermal Clinic, said: “We’re always looking for ways to improve our relationships with our patients, and for solutions that enhance and maintain the results that are achieved.

“The Alevere programme requires increased monitoring of patients’ blood pressure and weight data during treatment, so thanks to Qardio’s products, we’ll now be able to support these patients from the comfort of their own home.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with Qardio and we’re really looking forward to seeing all of the benefits that this partnership will bring to both our doctors and our patients, and to see the life changing results for everyone using the programme.”

Martina Janeckova, VP of Global Outreach at Qardio, said: “We’re very excited to collaborate with the first clinic in Scotland to achieve the SaveFace Accreditation which ensures the safest of standards, as it shows our shared commitment to high-quality products and care.

“Bringing our connected health ecosystem that allows for remote-monitoring will enable Dermal Clinic to offer this popular programme to more patients without compromising on quality.”

Dermal Clinic, located in Church Hill Place, Morningside, is one of Scotland’s leading cosmetic clinics with a team of high quality professionals dedicated to the provision of care for the face and body. It specialises in providing expert advice, solutions and services to help clients feel better and transform themselves – including treatments unique to Scotland.

It is now established as the flagbearer for the cosmetic industry in Scotland after it was confirmed as the first practice to have successfully ‘registered’ with Healthcare Improvement Scotland.
