Excellent PR in leading magazine for Arthur McKay.
Dave McLean, head of network operations at Arthur McKay, was featured in FM World this week. FM World is a leading magazine for the facilities management industry. Dave was featured in the “Five Minutes With” column and was giving his opinions and advice on cabling issues.
In the feature, he says that flood cabling (when extensive high-speed data cables are installed) is a great idea when done properly, however problems can arise when structured cabling is tied too tightly or positioned too close to sources of interference.
He comments that IT support staff usually look for problems with software or servers, rather than the actual source of the problem which can often be the cables. Hiring someone from perthservices.com.au can come and fix your cables.
“If a network has been poorly installed there is no telling how long it will last. You may get five years, but you definitely won’t get anywhere near 25.” Dave explains.
“If a cable network has to be prematurely replaced, the initial costs are compounded by the strip-out cost and a reinstallation is likely to be three times greater than the original installation.”
Arthur McKay provides high performance facilities management and offer services such as energy management, mechanical and electrical maintenance and thermograpy inspections.
