Currie RFC Score With Sponsored Voucher Giveaway

Cala Homes Press releases

Property PR Strategy - Redeemable vouchers given to youths of Currie Rugby Club YOUNG MEMBERS of a rugby club are set to tackle their upcoming games in style, thanks to a generous donation from upmarket homebuilder CALA Homes (East).

The donation will assist young players and youth supporters at Currie Rugby Football Club (RFC) in purchasing new kit and other merchandise following a rebrand by the local club, in the form of redeemable vouchers.

Currie RFC is rebranding to Currie Chieftains, and the voucher initiative was launched on Sunday (23rd April) at the club’s annual Mini Tournament.

The club has been an important part of Currie and Balerno community for over 30 years and has developed into a thriving social hub while having a hugely positive impact on the young players and families who support it.

CALA is proud to have sponsored Currie RFC for the past six years and to be associated with the new Currie Chieftains brand. The homebuilder is offering continued funding to encourage further community involvement, but most importantly of all, to directly benefit local kids and their families.

Gordon Sayers, Head of Midi Rugby at Currie RFC, said: “We recognise that the support from our local community is critical to our success as without this the club could not exist, which is why we like to include them in everything we do.

“As a sponsor, CALA Homes really goes above and beyond the call of duty and the voucher scheme is an excellent example of this.

“Not only will this help with our rebrand, but it also means we’re able to give something back to the community to show how much we appreciate their continued commitment, so it’s fantastic to have a sponsor that really goes the extra mile for us.”

Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director at CALA Homes (East), said: “At CALA, we are committed to supporting local communities in the areas in which we build our new homes.

“Currie RFC is at the very heart of the Currie and Balerno community, and we’re proud to continue our association with the newly rebranded Currie Chieftains.

“We hope this additional initiative will assist the young players and their supporters in kitting themselves out for their games ahead, and we wish them all the best for the season ahead.”
