An Edinburgh based cupcake shop is celebrating a successful year and is looking to pack another feastful year in 2013 with plans for expansion.
Cuckoo’s Bakery, which launched in early 2011, announced the plans after opening its first concession stand in Waterstones in Edinburgh.
News of the expansion caught the attention of Bakery Info online which was also intrigued to hear of its plan to open a second bakery within 12 months.
Vidya Sarjoo, co-owner of Cuckoo’s Bakery, said: “We are delighted that our cupcakes will now be sold in Waterstones, which is a major shopping destination in the capital and is a place in which we felt our brand would be accessible to the type of customers we normally get in our Dundas Street store.
“This partnership is the first step in the Cuckoo’s Bakery expansion and is one which we hope to replicate as the company gets bigger.”
The full coverage can be read on the Bakery Info website and was secured on behalf of Cuckoo’s Bakery thanks to a PR campaign with Holyrood PR.
