Edinburgh based safety experts, Reactec, has been featured in Business Insider in the magazine’s health and safety report.

The feature discusses vibration injuries as one of the most important health and safety issues facing workers in industries like construction and manufacturing.

Reactec featured with its personalised monitoring system which prevents Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) by monitoring how long workers are exposed to vibration.

The HAVmeter helps employers provide undisputable proof of their length of exposure and the intensity of the exposure.

Managing Director, Jim O’Hagan says: “With workers regularly using concrete breaking equipment, industrial saws, diggers, drills, lawnmowers power tools and countless other pieces of vibrating equipment, it’s important to ensure an effective method of HAVS management is in place-not just as a bare minimum to meet HSE targets, but also to protect work forces from injury, protect companies from liability and to dramatically improve their bottom lines by preventing sick leave and compensation claims from their staff.”

The coverage was achieved in Business  Insider and was secured on behalf of Reactec thanks to an ongoing PR campaign with Holyrood PR.
