A COCKTAIL-making masterclass at Scotland’s most stylish boutique hotel has been featured on a global website dedicated to promoting excellence in bartending.
Tigerlily, on Edinburgh’s George Street, is the £8m jewel in the crown of Scotland’s best-known style bar and restaurant operator, Montpeliers (Edinburgh) Ltd.
The group’s chain of venues, including Opal Lounge, Rick’s, Indigo Yard, Assembly and Candy Kitchen and Bar are renowned for their superb cocktails as well as painstaking attention to detail.
Montpeliers consistently trains the best mixologists to come out of Scotland, and to raise awareness of its excellence in the field regularly runs hugely popular mixology classes for customers.
Once such training exercise at flagship venue Tigerlily was captured on film, and has been a hit on the worldwide web ever since.
Now the video, titled ‘Tigerlily Mixology Lesson’, is featuring on influential website Bartending.
The website, billed as “a place where bartenders hang out”, features hints, tricks and tips from internationally-renowned bars and bartenders.
This is not the first time ultra-chic Tigerlily has made a splash on the web – earlier this month former Tigerlily barman Mark Shuter blogged about his international success after being headhunted from the boutique nightspot.
