Edinburgh family law firm Gibson Kerr has receieved another boost to its PR IN SCOTLAND after being featured on a leading legal news website.
The Journal, which is read by senior figures in the Scottish legal profession, reported on how the firm had urged co-habiting couples to be aware of their right to make a claim against their partner when separating.
The firm said that many co-habitees were not ware that they can claim against their partner within a year of separating – as they believe that only marries couples and civil partners have these rights. Gibson Kerr also highlighted that co-habitees also have a legal claim if their partner dies, but they only have six months to do so.
