Great Coverage For Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show.

This year’s Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show was featured in an article on the Creative Boom website.

One of the country’s most successful charity fashion shows is returning for an eleventh year.  Over the years it has managed to raise over a quarter of a million pounds and this year, the money raised from the show is going to CHAS.

The theme of the fashion show, which is sponsored by Citylets, will be decadence mixed with rock ‘n’ roll.  The main focus of the show is to capture the attitude that is found when the country is going through difficult financial times.

Caroline Welles, Chairwoman of the ECFS committee said: “The Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show is back with a bang this year and the chosen theme very much sets it apart from previous shows we’ve done.

“The theme of this year came from the idea of what fashion looks like in a recession.  This then evolved into us thinking about the different eras and figures that experienced difficulties.  We immediately thought of the likes of the eighties; a particular decade that was hit with difficulties yet this era is probably more famous for its outrageous statement fashion.

“We are especially thankful of the continued support of our sponsors Citylets, who have helped to build the success of the Edinburgh Charity Fashion Show.”

Clothes from designers such as Calvin Klein Menswear, Reiss and Mark Fast will be featured in the show this year.

The event will take place at Summerhall and tickets are available to buy online now.
