One of Scotland's top PR agencies scooped a record FOUR Golds in 2019. Award winning PR agency Holyrood PR at CIPR PRide Awards 2019.

HOLYROOD PR has cemented its place as one of Scotland’s top PR agencies when it scooped a record FOUR Golds in 2019 CIPR Scotland PRide Awards.

The haul – the most won by an independent agency on the night – ensured Holyrood PR continued its eight year gold-winning streak in the annual awards, the Scottish PR industry’s Oscars.

We picked up Golds for:

  • Best Use of Media Relations: Skyrora: Rocketing into the headlines
  • Corporate and Business Communications Campaign: Skyrora: Putting Scotland in space
  • Community Relations: CALA Homes Bursary – Investing in communities
  • Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year: Account Director Chris Fairbairn

We also scored finalist places in the Art, Culture or Sport Campaign category for Scottish Water’s Learn to Swim campaign and in the Best Event category for CALA Homes: Ruby Bhogal at The Crescent.

Director Raymond Notarangelo said: “Four Golds is the most we have won at one Awards night.

“The number and diversity of the Gold awards simply underlines the quality and creativity we bring to our ever-growing list of clients; delivering amazing campaigns that bring demonstrable success and value to them.

“The judges in particular recognised our focus on quality story-telling and the importance of measurement and evaluation.

“But perhaps our greatest pleasure is Chris Fairbairn collecting the sought-after Outstanding Young Communicator award.

“As well as the award being truly deserved in light of Chris’s unquestionable PR skills, it’s the fourth time in a decade that it has gone to talent developed by Holyrood PR. We see it as so important to play a key role in fostering the next generation of Scotland’s PR profession.”

The CIPR Scotland PRide Awards – the biggest PR Awards outside of London – recognise and reward the highest standards of excellence in public relations.

In the judges’ citations, they praised our work with Skyrora:

“This was a campaign with PR at its heart. Through storytelling and expert counsel, Holyrood PR elevated Skyrora and its profile, not just in Scotland but across the UK. The exceptional results translated into real new business leads.”

For CALA Homes:

“Holyrood PR delivered all the elements of a strong community relations campaign. Most impressive was how the team really nailed their approach to measurement and evaluation which is critical in showing PR’s worth to this sector.”

For Young Communicator:

“The judges were impressed by Chris’ energy and enthusiasm, and his achievements in helping to support and grow the business. He shows a real understanding of the importance of CPD and a commitment to professional development, both personally and for his team. Chris is an asset to the PR profession in Scotland and definitely one to watch in the future.”

Overall, we have claimed Gold or Silver accolades in 14 different campaign categories at the CIPR Scotland PRide Awards.
