STAFF at a popular Aberdeen hotel attended Scotland’s largest two-day agricultural event dressed up as Santa’s little helpers in the height of one of the UK’s hottest summers.

Jurys Inn took to the Turriff Show to spread early Christmas cheer and get people thinking well in advance about their holiday plans.

Treating passers by to chocolate coins and candy sticks, the team introduced their brand new
“Bring a Party to a Party” Christmas packages which include a night full of entertainment and a hotel stay for guests who want to make the most of the festivities.

Alison Christie, Area General Manager at Jurys Inn Aberdeen, said: “It was funny seeing people do a double-take when they noticed Santa’s elves running around in the summer sun – our inflatable Santa on a tractor definitely caught a lot of people’s attention.

“People taking selfies with the elves who looked very out of place amongst all the shorts and t-shirts.”

The team also held a prize draw for free places at their parties, with each one boasting a different mouth-watering menu and various music themes to celebrate Christmas in style.

Alison added: “Summer will be coming to an end soon and Christmas is the next big thing we’ll all be looking forward to.

“The event was a great success – the crowd at the Turriff Show responded really well and seemed to love our costumes. After all, some people wait for Christmas all year long, so why wait until December to get into the holiday spirit?

“The reality is that for a good Christmas period, planning has to be well underway now.

“We’ve had a lot of fun organising our different Christmas party nights, lunches and discos and want to bring as many people together as possible to socialise and celebrate.”

Christmas Parties will take place from late November until mid-December at the following Jurys Inn hotels in Scotland: Inverness, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Aberdeen Airport.
