DFDS Drink to Scotland PR Success
DFDS Norfolkline has been written about on a news website thanks to its Scotch Whisky sailings.
The Best and Most – duty free and travel retail intelligence – ran the story which gives details of DFDS Norfolkline’s teaming up with Diageo and Fife Council.
More than 120 travellers signed up for the trips which allowed visitors from Belgium to taste the ‘water of life’ whilst sailing to Rosyth, Fife.
The trips were designed for European travellers who could appreciate Scottish Whisky and educate themsleves on the different malts and blends.
Passengers enjoyed a two-hour whisky tasting on board the ferry each way as well as free time in the Fife town of Rosyth.
DFDS Norfolkline began operating the Rosyth-Zeebrugge service in May 2009, allowing thousands of passengers to enjoy the benefits of starting their holidays on their doorstep as well as the service’s leisurely overnight crossing.
The Scottish Viking sails three times a week from both ports and with onboard facilities that include a restaurant, bar, cinema and children’s play area, there are plenty of opportunities for passengers of all ages to sit back, enjoy the journey and arrive in Europe refreshed and relaxed.
DFDS Norfolkline announced in August that its Rosyth to Zeebrugge route will no longer operate as a combined passenger and freight service and will operate solely as a freight-only route.
The coverage was secured on behalf of DFDS Norfolkline by public relations agency the Holyrood PR .
