A RARE opportunity to purchase new upmarket family homes in a historic and picturesque village will soon become available to homebuyers.

Aimed at those looking for the ideal blend of luxury living in a quaint setting with a short commute to the capital, Chapel Lawns in Roslin is the latest development to be launched by upmarket homebuilder CALA Homes (East).

Work on the 79 new homes – from the firm’s award winning signature collection – started in March at the Midlothian site on land previously owned by The University of Edinburgh.

With properties ranging from cottage apartments to four and five bedroom homes, the on-site sales office will be open later this summer, taking the first reservations in what is expected to be a high-demand project that forms a natural expansion to the village.

Two separate stunning four-bedroom showhomes are expected be available for viewing later this year.

Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director with CALA Homes (East), said: “Roslin is a famously beautiful village – and we are delighted to have the rare opportunity to offer a range of new family homes here.

“This development is a great choice for those wishing to escape the city while staying within reach – and we have had a lot of interest in the development, which we’re fully expecting to be the focus of very high demand.”

Chapel Lawns has excellent transport links, located north of Penicuik Road beside Roslin Medical Practice on the western periphery of the village and just seven minutes drive from the City of Edinburgh Bypass.

The development will deliver stronger pedestrian links from the village to Roslin Moat to the west and will also provide safe routes to the soon to be open newly constructed Roslin Primary School.

CALA Homes is headquartered in Scotland, employs more than 850 people and earned its reputation on the high quality of the homes it builds, which are sensitively designed to augment the areas in which they are located.

The result is homes that are highly sought after and which retain their value over decades, earning loyalty from owners, who often live in a series of CALA properties.
