Chanel, Hollywood and Gadgets for the Blind

Holyrood PR Uncategorized

At Holyrood PR this week we have been busy announcing Bell Ingram’s plans to restore Coco Chanel’s former love nest, helping Edinburgh-born actress Louise Linton hit the headlines and publicising Blackwood’s support for a new innovation to assist people with disabilities when crossing the road.

First up, Bell Ingram. This week the Perth based land agents hit the headlines as they announced that their design team has been given the green light to restore the former love nest of Coco Chanel. Rosehall Estate which is located near Lairg in Sutherland was where Chanel conducted her 10 year affair with the 2nd Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor. The Bell Ingram design team intend to restore the Georgian building into a boutique hotel containing five luxury apartments and a spa. Plans to restore Rosehall which has lain dormant for more than 60 years hit many of the top headlines, including The Daily Telegraph, The Press and Journal and The Scotsman Online.

Next, we have rising Hollywood star, Louise Linton. Louise has been making a name for herself in the acting world with the announcement of three upcoming movies, Serial Daters Anonymous, spooky psychological thriller, Intruder and the hugely anticipated Howard Hughes biopic, helmed by legendary producer and director Warren Beatty.  Louise hit the headlines with a bang this week, securing the front cover of The Sunday Mail Seven Days as well as a double page spread on the stars love of acting and of life growing up in Edinburgh. News of her story also made it onto Scotland Now online and The Daily Record online.

And finally, last but not least, we have been assisting Scotland’s leading care and housing provider Blackwood announce their support for Gavin Neate’s ‘Neatebox’ innovation. The Neatebox is a tool in place to assist the visually impaired and those with disabilities when crossing the road. All they have to do is download an app which allows them to activate a pedestrian crossing on their smartphones – an easy to use and genius invention. The Neatebox is currently undergoing live trials outside the Scottish Parliament and has hit the headlines this week, featuring in publications such as The Edinburgh Evening News and the Daily Record.
