Caledonian Challenge

PR in Scotland for Caledonian Challenge

A challenge what is being billed as the ‘walk of your life’ has launched its entry process for 2012.

The Caledonian Challenge is a 54 mile trek in 24 hours, which is not for the faint hearted but is an event that gives participants a real sense of achievement.

The trek will take participants through some of Scotland’s most famous, remote, rugged and stunningly beautiful landscapes between 16-17 June, including Fort William, Kinlocheven and Inveroran.

The challenge which was founded by two scots in 1996 was inspired by a walking event in Hong Kong.

The event regularly raises £1 million each year for the Scottish community foundation which helps enhance the lives of thousands of people in Scotland through much needed local community based services and projects.

To take part in the 2012 Caledonian Challenge entrants need a team with 4-6 people.

All entries must be submitted before the deadline of March 31 to secure a place on the 2012 challenge.

This coverage was secured with The Edinburgh Reporter as part of a sustained public relations campaign carried out by Holyrood PR on behalf of Caledonian Challenge.
