The Scottish Sun – which sells 430,000 copies every day – featured a story about Eagle Couriers coming to the rescue of a lost cat which turned up 480 miles from home.
The tale of Sampson the tabby, which disappeared in Penicuik and turned up 18 months later in Plymouth, caught the imagination of the popular tabloid.
Eagle Couriers stepped in to bring the animal home free of charge, with pet-loving company director Fiona Deas insisting: “We’ll make his journey home as comfy as possible.”
The Sun is renowned for its clever headlines – and Sampson’s story was no exception, with the headline: “I would walk 500 miaows”. The full story can be seen at The Scottish Sun website.
