An abundance of positive stories on Edinburgh care home become a hit in the headlines

FOLLOWING a bumper month at Cramond Residence, it was pertinent to showcase the diverse and exciting activities and events arranged for the home’s residents as part of the high-quality care and provided services that Cramond prides itself on.
From Western-style music events to luxury spa experiences and wonderous talent shows, our social care PR experts shared the home’s stories, spreading the positivity of Cramond Residence’s offerings to its residents and meaningful moments of community and joy.
One of the major aims of Cramond Residence is to share its ethos of providing bespoke and inspiring care across Edinburgh and the care community. The team at Holyrood PR helped them to convey this vision, achieving a host of widespread coverage.
- 37 items of coverage
- 500,710 opportunities to see
- Key highlights in Caring Times, Housing Digital, Edinburgh Live and North Edinburgh News
Through three separate stories, we were able to share the highlights of the home’s packed schedule. The first release focused on the home’s first-ever, Hoedown Throwdown, an outdoor end-of-summer event that saw residents getting dressed up in cowboy hats and plaid shirts and dancing the day away to Country Western music. The team at Holyrood PR attended the event to see a host of smiling faces which we captured along with a series of other photographs of the day itself. These images accompanied the issuing of the release, showcasing the energetic, active community at the home that might have otherwise gone unnoticed.

The second release focused on a smaller-scale, luxury spa event, which was put on for the residents’ enjoyment. The Holyrood PR team also attended the home to capture photographs of this day and saw residents indulging in an experience that many would not think synonymous with a care home.

The third story put the residents front and centre, both literally and figuratively, as we showcased the home’s first-ever talent show, Cramond’s Got Talent. This particular event saw residents and staff taking centre stage as they showcased their hidden talents in front of a judging panel made up of their fellow residents. After obtaining information from one of the home’s dedicated Lifestyle Coordinators depicting the joy that the talent show brought to the residents, the images and release were issued to a range of local and care publications, scoring a fantastic hit in Edinburgh Live.

Through these carefully written pieces, Holyrood PR was able to share these fantastic events with the rest of Edinburgh and beyond.
Located in Cramond to the north of the city, the care home was launched in 2018 to offer uncompromising nurse-led care, as well as respite and dementia specialist services, and provides a small-group living for up to 74 residents in nine luxuriously-appointed homes.
