Beer, dancing and digital PR experts that know how to carve up a celebration to remember
WHEN a local care home wants to give its residents the ultimate Oktoberfest experience, digital PR experts at Holyrood PR get to work.
Cramond Residence, to the north of the city, was hosting three days of Oktoberfest celebrations and the team at Holyrood PR took it that step further by pairing up with a local brewery, Pilot.
We reached out to the Leith-based brewery and coordinated with them to deliver a selection of beers to the home free of charge.
Residents got to try a rich variety of different beer profiles such as BLØND
Session IPA, Leith Lager and Vienna Pale on top of getting a lesson on the history of the festival and themed arts and crafts.
Pilot shared the concept on their Facebook and generated an abundance of heart-warming, positive likes, comments and shares. This was further amplified by Cramond Residence sharing the content.

The partnership with Pilot was an innovative way to provide an all-rounded experience to residents whilst further amplifying the home and brewery’s name with a local audience.
Our PR team saw an opportunity to not only provide valuable support for a local business, but to also maximise the digital reach of the Oktoberfest through sharing the news far and wide on social channels.
The Cramond x Pilot collaboration proved to be the perfect example of how a traditional PR strategy can link into a digital campaign to maximise results.
