Glasgow and Edinburgh have been voted one of the top ten cities for nightlife in the UK by a survey carried out by TripAdvisor, with Glasgow coming forth and Edinburgh coming tenth. Taking advantage of the capital’s nightlife was Prince Albert of Monaco who was in Edinburgh for a personal trip with friends.

Albert and his ten friends, who are staying at the five star Balmoral hotel enjoyed the clubs VIP booth that Mike Tindal and Zara Phillips had also been parting in just weeks before their wedding in July. The Prince who had been out for dinner visited the George Street club, which had been checked out by royal protection officers just three days prior to the Princes visit.

The Prince, who’s new wife was once again nowhere to be seen, enjoyed magnums of Dom Perignon champagne worth over £430 each. The group who arrived at midnight and stayed partying till 3am also enjoyed a magnum of Grey Goose Vodka at £250 and 30 bottles of Peroni and Tiger beer reaching a grand total of £1,300 which Prince Albert paid for before the group left leaving in blacked out minivans.
