PROPERTY DEVELOPER HELPS TO RAISE ROAD SAFETY AWARENESS AT LOCAL PRIMARY SCHOOL
A luxury property developer has shown its support for Road Safety Week – after donating a collection of road safety accessories to a local primary school.
CALA Homes (East) supplied more than 60 primary one pupils with a range of road safety equipment and information including reflectors, luminous bags, informative posters and leaflets.
Williamston Primary School, in Livingston, received the bags as part of a seven day campaign, which is organised by UK-wide charity, Brake.
The week held in November each year, aims to educate young people on the dangers of UK roads and provide steps to improve general road-safety.
The campaign is also very close to CALA’s heart due to its family-orientated values and ethos for creating safe community hubs.
Sarah Stanger, Sales and Marketing Director at CALA Homes (East) was more than happy for CALA East to support the cause.
She said: “We were delighted to be a part of the campaign and believe Road Safety Week is a fantastic and informative platform to teach youngsters all about the dangers of our roads.
“At CALA East we provide quality homes to many families and aim to create community hubs, which provide safety and security.
“By teaching young people simple steps and tips it can help to save lives and educate youngsters on how to be safe on the roads.
Audrey Gray, Road Safety Co-ordinator at Williamston Primary School, was delighted with CALA’s contribution and believes the bags could be vital in helping to save lives.
She said: “We are extremely grateful to CALA East for providing the road safety awareness bags and think they can make a monumental difference to informing young people about the dangers of roads.
“The statistics for accidents are high and we hope that by raising awareness on simple steps and preventative measures we can aim to combat this.”
For more information, individuals are being encouraged to visit the official Road Safety Week website and also refer to the site of Auto accident attorney in Boston to know the various civil laws in safeguarding individual rights when mishaps and injuries occur on the road.
