New mums are celebrated after giving birth to first babies at new development – with story told by Edinburgh PR agency

Cala Graigpark Newborn Babies enjoying photography for Edinburgh PR agencyNEIGHBOURS Nicola Gillan and Freya McShane moved into CALA Homes (East’s) Craigpark development in Ratho last year, and were relieved to discover that neither of them were alone in trying to juggle pregnancy and moving home all at the same time.

Now, after both mums gave birth within just weeks of each other, the community focused developer has helped the newborn babies settle into their new homes with generous hampers, which included a pair of dungarees and t-shirt, a teething toy and a relaxing candle – to celebrate the latest additions to the Craigpark neighbourhood.

Nicola said: “It was such a lovely surprise when the CALA Sales Advisors popped round with the surprise baby hampers for Freya and I.
“It was a really unexpected but very much appreciated gesture and just goes to show that the homebuilder goes the extra mile to attend to the communities that it creates.

“It is great to have Freya as a neighbour, there was a lot of comfort in knowing that there was someone just around the corner who knew exactly what I was going through.

“I can honestly say it’s not easy moving house whilst being pregnant but somehow we both managed it. I’m looking forward to watching our babies grow and become friends, just as we have.”

Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director at CALA Homes (East), said: “At CALA, we are committed to bringing people together and building communities – not just developments of houses.

“We aim to create a real sense of neighbourliness and what could be more so than two neighbours bonding over their growing families and sharing this wonderful experience together.

“We wish Nicola and Freya all the best and are sure we will have the opportunity to meet and get to know many more of our customers building their families at our developments in the future.”

CALA’s Craigpark development boasts spectacular views which can only be appreciated in person, the development is in an ideal location for those looking for the picture-perfect home with views to the Firth of Forth, into Fife and into Edinburgh itself.

Its idyllic woodland setting offers peace and tranquillity, but it is still close at hand for excellent schooling, amenities, country walkways, cycle paths and also the Edinburgh International Climbing Centre, which is almost on its doorstep. Local facilities also include the award-winning family pub, The Bridge Inn, and a brand new marina, all less than a ten minute walk from the development.

Moreover, Ratho is also known for being one of the best-connected villages in Scotland, sitting on the west edge of Edinburgh, just minutes away from the M8 and M9.
