CALA Homes (East) has officially launched its exclusive location-inspired showhomes at its newest Currie hotspot, Kinleith Mill, introducing the brand new, unique properties on to the market.
VIP guest, Councillor Ricky Henderson, did the honour of cutting the ribbon alongside players from Currie Football Club, for which CALA provide sponsorship, declaring the one-of-a-kind showhomes officially open and encouraging house hunters seeking a luxury lifestyle to come along for an exclusive first look.
Offering the convenience of a short commute into the Capital’s city centre, the two showhomes – a Charles and a Henry – are brand new to the CALA portfolio and unique to this development. They feature open plan kitchen/family areas with double height ceilings which flood natural light into the extended space.
Each showhome also benefits from a substantial study on the ground floor in addition to the upper bedroom provision.
Interior designers, Luma Interiors, were tasked with bringing the charming four and five bedroom showhomes to life. Joanne McDonald said she and her specialist team were inspired by the development’s idyllic Water of Leith location and the surrounding lush countryside, which the showhomes have been designed to reflect.
Joanne said: “The Henry has a sunny palette of blues and turquoises with hints of buttercup yellow, and florals and graphical patterns create a sophisticated scheme evoking the water and the flowers growing along the river. My favourite feature is the stylish wing chair in yellow that forms the main focal point of the living room.
“The Charles living room is a sanctuary – teaming tranquil blues with natural chunky oaks and other natural textures. A touch of sheepskin further adds to the luxury, relaxation and comfort. A room I particularly like is the study with its large scale floral wallpaper and lovely sofa and soft furnishings – a space to really enjoy working from home.
“Both house styles have large open hall and family areas which create a fantastic sense of space and light which I have complemented with light, bright wallpapers, fabrics and artwork.”
Paying homage to its historical past, the design concept of the Kinleith Mill development takes inspiration from the traditional mill style buildings that originally occupied the land, with its red brick and iron railing architectural design giving it a real sense of character and place.
Stala Thomson, Sales Manager with CALA Homes (East), said: “We are very excited to have launched our showhomes at Kinleith Mill and we’d like to thank Currie F.C. and Councillor Henderson for doing the honours at the ribbon cutting as our VIP guests.
“Our showhomes are specific to this development so Kinleith Mill offers the ideal opportunity for homebuyers seeking something special to purchase a stunning, light filled property which fully meets their lifestyle needs.
“Currie is ideally positioned with everything a home-owner would want within reach, but it’s the tranquil lifestyle this well connected semi-rural development offers that really separates it from the rest.
“The volume of interest for CALA at Kinleith Mill has been fantastic so far and we expect this to grow with the opening of these brand new showhomes.”
The first phase at Kinleith Mill is a bespoke selection of three, four and five bedroom semi-detached and detached homes and townhouses, with prices currently starting from £420,000
Those looking to find out more information on the luxury development are being encouraged to visit Kinleith Mill’s website to register interest or arrange a viewing today, to discover more of what the luxury range of properties have to offer.
