A Fife Care Home, Bield’s Finavon Court has recently been awarded the Customer Service Excellence Award following a drive to consistently improve and exceed services in housing and care.
The award is accredited by the cabinet office and was designed for businesses to prove that they are meeting and exceeding national standards in customer service and was established in 1991.
Bield, a registered charity was first established as a care home in Bo’ness.It now provides services which support 20 000 people in 22 local authority areas around Scotland.It is dedicated to providing enriching and life enhancing quality care for the elderly.
Neil Bruce, manager at Finavon Court is delighted to have recieved the award and is assured of resulting continued motivation of staff at Finavon Court, but also at other homes within the company
He said: “Working in the care industry means that we are always looking for ways to continually improve our services and this process certainly did that – it was a real eye opener and allowed us to identify areas where we could improve and develop.
“Our staff are now extremely motivated to keep thinking about ways in which they can improve the service which is great going forward as it keeps us on our toes and ensures Finavon Court offers the best service possible.”
The award allows Bield’ Finavon Court to demonstrate commitment to drive service improvements and excel as a leader in the provison of care for older people.A new system has been developed as a result of evidence collected in the award application process ,which allows feedback to recieve a rapid response.
