Western Mail articleLeading Welsh newspaper, the Western Mail, has featured two Welsh brothers who will be taking on the finest young golfers the world has to offer in the 2009 U.S. Kids Golf European Championships.

Jack and Luke Harries, from Pembroke, will be Wales’ sole representatives in the event which features more than 400 youngsters from some 30 countries playing at five courses in East Lothian, Scotland in May.

And the Western Mail has now got behind the duo as they prepare to travel to Scotland, where the top five youngsters in each age and gender category will qualify for a place in the U.S. Kids Golf World Championships at Pinehurst, North Carolina in August.

It is the latest piece of positive PR and media coverage in the run up to the prestigious event following a successful publicity campaign by Holyrood PR.

The Western Mail’s article, headlined Brothers in arms bid for glory in Scotland and US, told how both youngsters are members of Dyfed Golf Union’s U14 squad as well as detailing Luke’s success in the 2009 U.S. Kids Golf World Championships where he finished fifth out of 110 competitors.
