A senior figure in the British Property Federation has praised the work of Britain’s leading Private Sector Leasing (PSL) expert, Orchard & Shipman.

The company has pioneered the use of PSL to help address shortages of quality public rental housing stock.

It works with local authorities to bring them together with private landlords to provide improved housing choices to families and others in the greatest housing need.

Now Ian Fletcher, the BPF’s director of residential policy, says he is keen for housing associations and other such bodies to come on board and help support the BPF’s work to raise standards and increase investment in the sector.

He was speaking as it was announced the renowned property management and development company Places for People has joined the BPF.

Mr Fletcher added: “I think it is really helpful that housing associations and potential investors are willing to come together in the forum the Federation can provide.

“Similarly Orchard & Shipman offers a first class service to numerous public sector clients and will clearly benefit our members through their involvement and experience.”
