An award-winning Edinburgh pizzeria has been featured in a popular food blog.

The 5pm Blog congratulated La Favorita restaurant on Leith Walk for becoming “the first pizza joint in Scotland to be awarded an AA Rosette.”

5pm.co.uk is a popular website used by diners to book places to eat out online.

Its writers praised restaurateur Tony Crolla’s pizza restaurant for scooping the prestigious award and quoted him as saying “We’ve sought to make La Favorita one of the most stylish restaurants you’ll find anywhere in Scotland – as well as ensuring it has no rival when it comes to pizza.”
