AWARD WINNING EDINBURGH PR AGENCY HELPS CARE CLIENT TO SHARE ITS SUCCESS WITH THE WORLD.
Tech-savvy housing and care provider, Blackwood, swept the media this week after landing major coverage for its Student Design Competition – thanks to an Edinburgh based Public Relations agency.
This year, the competition took place on Friday 13th February at Blackwood’s brand new tech-care inspired office at Dundee Street, Edinburgh, with competitors located as far away as America pitching via Skype to land the top prize.
Volunteer judges from various care, private and public sector organisations provided contestants with direct feedback on the day and critique over the live stream feed.
Designs from across the globe were presented in person and over the internet to a panel of judges, with Kirubin Pillay taking home the coveted top prize.
The Oxford University Biomedical Engineering student will now receive invaluable backing from Blackwood and its’ partners in a bid to make his creative design into a working reality that could offer a life changing transport facility for many people with severe physical disabilities.
However, before Kirubin’s “Eye-controlled wheelchair” was announced as the winner – we made sure to tell audiences that the competition was taking place – by targeting key local and care publications.
Making sure the results were twice-as-nice, we were on standby to issue a follow up release, securing a wave of pre and post event coverage for our client.
The results saw a flood of coverage, secured in titles such as the Evening Times, Edinburgh Evening News, Economic Voice, Scottish Business News Network, Housing Scotland Today, Scottish Housing News and Care Home News.
