Blackwood AGM Hits the Press

22 SEP CROPHousing and care specialists, Blackwood, held their hi-tech AGM event at the Glasgow Science Centre last week.  The group unveiled film tribute dedicated to its founder and disability campaigner Dr Margaret Blackwood, whose pioneering work 30 years ago set the pace for improvements across Scotland.22 SEP CROP

The event has attracted coverage from sites including Enable Magazine, All Media Scotland and Housing 24 SEP CROPScotland Today.  The care providers welcome this exposure after their successful AGM.

Guests were treated to a showcase of antiquated wheelchairs, the latest in sport chair design and cutting edge exoskeleton technology.

The exoskeleton proved a huge talking point and highlight of the evening with a demonstration of the hands-free, self-supporting, individually controlled robotic walking device.

There were various displays and interactive stalls showing off cutting edge technology which aims to help improve the lives of disabled people.
