on behalf of Bield Housing And Care
Betty, who served in the RAF during the Second World War, was given the opportunity to go gliding by the Scottish War Blinded Society – a charity that works with visually impaired individuals who have served in the Armed Forces.
Betty, who has been a resident at Bield’s St Andrews Court for more than 10 years is a prime example that you are never too old to try new things and that those in sheltered housing can continue to live independent and fulfilling lives.
