Grants Bank Volunteer and Bield employee, Martha Strachan, have been meeting every week since April with four older people from the development in an attempt to contribute to the charity appeal.

Local press in Dunfermline have been keen to cover the efforts of the Bield residents and employees for their commendable effort.  Their goal?  To make six 1.5 metre long scarves, which will eventually be added to the other scarves knitted across the UK to hopefully create the Seven-Mile Scarf in October.  At the end of the appeal, the scarves will be taken apart and either sold to charity shops or sent to auction in order to raise money for CHAS, in Kinross on the 24th of October.

Dunfermline Press Online Coverage The effort from the residents at the Grants Bank development has been tremendous and it is great to see their efforts being covered in the press.  This coverage is not only a testimony to the work they have done, but also raises awareness about the event and the charity.
