on behalf of Bield Housing And Care
Scotland’s leading provider of housing and care services, Bield, has scored coverage in a trio of newspapers including the Sunday Express after launching their Extra Time project.
The scheme will see tenants of Bield’s care home in Haugh street, Edinburgh being taken to watch SPL football matches. This ensures that older people with mobility issues who are unable to access the grounds themselves still have the chance to see their beloved teams, and it is hoped that that the project will help stimulate the memories of those suffering from dementia by allowing them to relive some their fondest memories.
The story, together with a picture of Haugh street residents, received national coverage in the Sunday Express, one of Scotland’s most popular Sunday papers with a readership of , around 132, 000 nationwide.
In addition to this, the project was given column inches in both the Daily Record, Scotland’s most popular tabloid with 700,000 readers, and in the Edinburgh Evening news, read by around 96,000 across the capital.
The coverage was achieved as part of an ongoing PR campaign by Holyrood Partnership- the full story can be found in the original press release.
