Local Edinburgh car dealership Belmont Wallyford has agreed a deal to be the official sponsor of one of Musselburgh Racecourse’s most popular race days for a third year running.
Following on from the success of the previous two years, the support will see Belmont Wallyford as the title sponsor for Friday Night at the Races on 27th May, which will feature top Forth One DJs as the hosts of the after-racing party.
The racing event will also offer one lucky attendee the chance to win £3,000 on the night, by entering a lively competition.
In addition, as the Official Vehicle Sponsor for 2016, the car dealership will also provide the luxury prize for the renowned Queen of Style competition at the much-anticipated Stobo Castle Ladies Day, giving one lucky fashionista the chance to win a brand new Suzuki Swift, worth over £10,000.
Now widely recognised as Scotland’s biggest fashion extravaganza, Stobo Castle Ladies Day also features Musselburgh’s richest horse race of the season, the £100,000 William Hill Scottish Sprint Cup, and attracted a sell out record of 10,300 people last year.
Sarah Montgomery, Senior Operations and Commercial Manager at Musselburgh Racecourse, said: “We consider ourselves Edinburgh’s racecourse, so we are thrilled to be continuing our partnership with one of the city’s best-known car dealerships for a third year.
“Friday Night at the Races is going to be one of the busiest race days in our landmark 200th anniversary year so to have Belmont Wallyford as our title sponsorship for this event is very exciting.
“The local dealership will also be providing a brand new car for Stobo Castle Ladies Day which, as well as promising top class racing and quality fashion, also has a reputation for providing highly sought-after prizes.
“Whatever way you look at this, it is a fantastic partnership all round. Our renowned race days are set to be bigger and better than ever this year, so to have Belmont supporting these is just fantastic.”
Stuart Pardoe, Sales Manager at Belmont Wallyford, said of the partnership: “Myself and the team at Belmont Wallyford are delighted to be sponsoring Musselburgh Racecourse this year and very pleased to be supporting the key events in its racing calendar.
“In particular, Friday Night at the Races is known as one of the highlights of the annual sporting and social calendar in Scotland and we are thrilled to be the title sponsor for this ever popular event.
Musselburgh Racecourse is firmly established as one of the UK’s most stylish racecourses, hosting 28 flat and jumps meetings each year. Already popular with racing enthusiasts, it is increasingly becoming a draw for both families and corporate clients.
As part of the year-long celebration of the historic racecourse’s 200th anniversary, there will also be a special Bi-Centenary Celebration Raceday on Friday, July 8th.
