Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance (SCAA) is flying high after receiving a £4,000 donation as part of an ongoing partnership with leading land and estate agent Bell Ingram.

Perthshire based Bell Ingram is supporting the charity – which flies expert paramedic care right to the heart of communities across Scotland and transports patients rapidly to hospital – with the aim of raising awareness of its vital work.

The donation comes as part of a long term commitment by the land and estate agent to support SCAA, which is located at Perth Airport and therefore well positioned geographically to reach 90% of Scotland’s population within 30 minutes.

SCCA Chief Executive David Craig said: “We are extremely grateful to Bell Ingram for its ongoing support. At SCAA, we rely 100% on donations from supporters to ensure that our helicopter keeps on flying.

“It’s extremely generous donations such as this that enable us to keep doing the important work that we do and ensures that we continue to be there when needed in time-critical emergencies.”

During its three years in operation, SCAA has responded to well over 1,000 emergency call outs, including rural sports accidents and road traffic collisions, agricultural and industrial accidents, equestrian accidents and medical emergencies.

Supporting Communities

Fuelled by public donations, the life-saving helicopter flies all over Scotland, dispatched through the 999 service and has become a vital part of the emergency response network.

The cheque donation took place at Bell Ingram’s Insight Seminar at the AK Bell Library in Perth, where the land and estate agent also gave an overview on the current property market and discussed the services it provides in the local area.

Victoria McCusker, Marketing Manager at Bell Ingram, said: “We are very pleased to be able to continue our support for Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance as it is very close to our hearts, and those of the people of Perth.

“It is an incredibly worthy cause that saves lives across the length and breadth of Scotland by responding to time-critical emergencies; providing protection to our clients and staff who live and work in some of Scotland’s most remote rural areas.”

Established 117 years ago, Bell Ingram has 130 professional staff across 11 UK offices including: farm, estate and forestry managers; chartered surveyors, architects, planners, and building surveyors; and tourism, GIS mapping, and renewable energy specialists.
