Rounding up a chilly week with PR stories that have kept our clients happy and warm
Winter is coming! The obligatory Christmas adverts have hit our screens the renowned Perth Winter Festival is well underway and you may have noticed its getting fair Baltic ‘ootside’, but Holyrood PR agency are ignoring the apocalyptic weather warnings, instead focusing on delivering quality media coverage.
You may have heard the phrase ‘could sell snow to the Eskimos, or even Coal to the Geordies. But we’ve got a new one to rival the classics: Selling Oil to the Gulf!
A Perthshire firm are doing exactly that. Summer Harvest Oils have celebrated landing a contract with a famous Dubai retailer. The story well and truly captured the imagination of the media, featuring in print and online with the Herald, the National and the Scotsman. The story also made influential business and food publications.
Why is this so good for our client Invest in Perth? Well not only does it highlight what a fantastic region Perthshire is for the industry, but it shows that the council are supporting business ventures abroad.
Next up we have a good news story about a struggling community which is starting to see some much needed investment thanks to an innovative renewable energy developer.
We were delighted to break the news that Banks Renewables has awarded an £800K contract with a local firm, Raeburn Drillers, at two of its exciting new wind farm developments.
The story went big, winging its way into the cream of the Scottish business press – the Herald, Scotsman, BQ and SBNN – as well as locally in the East Kilbride News and Lanark and Carluke Gazette, plus the prominent trade publications.
Finally, it may be cold out there, but inside the Holyrood office it’s hot with another prestigious new client choosing the 2015 Outstanding Small Agency to be its PR partner.
We’re galloping into the festive season, having won the pitch to represent Musselburgh Racecourse. We’ll be working with the famous racecourse to boost visitor numbers and further its brand appeal, especially to families non-racegoers.
