BBC Radio 1 DJ Promises to Stirrup Crowd at Brand New Ladies Night

THE latest jockey to set foot on Musselburgh Racecourse is tipped to give others a run for their money as it’s announced Scott Mills (from BBC Radio 1) is to be this year’s VIP host at the venue’s exclusive new race night.

The BBC Radio 1 DJ will be joining attendees at the Friday Night is Ladies Night event on Friday 29th July where a night or professional horseracing is paired with sheer glamour and indulgence.

The two time Sony award winning DJ, who is best known for his afternoon radio show will be hosting the after-racing party and entertaining the crowd with his dance floor anthems. Musselburgh racecourse has also teamed up with three of the most prestigious Edinburgh night clubs, Opal Lounge and Lulu for racegoers to continue the party into the early hours of the morning.

Transport buses will also be available on the day for attendees travelling from Edinburgh City Centre for just £10 per person and is encouraging savvy revellers to book a seat in advance to avoid disappointment.

Scott Mills (from BBC Radio 1) said: “I’m delighted to have been asked to DJ at the after party for the first ever Friday Night is Ladies Night event. I’ve attended various race days at Musselburgh Racecourse a number of times and have always had a great time so it’s an honour to be hosting this exclusive night.”

The event which takes place on Friday 29th July promises to be a night of sheer luxury and celebrations with Pimms and champagne available on every corner.

The Racecourse, which is currently in its 200th anniversary year, just celebrated a sell out success at its recent Stobo Castle Ladies Day and will showcase this brand new fixture highlight – Friday Night is Ladies Night event.

Musselburgh Racecourse is firmly established as one of the UK’s most stylish racecourses, hosting 28 flat and jumps meetings each year. Already popular with racing enthusiasts, it is a draw for both families and corporate clients.

As part of the year-long celebration of the historic racecourse’s 200th anniversary, there will also be a special Bi-Centenary Celebration Raceday on Friday, July 8th.

Children 17 years and under are admitted free at Musselburgh Racecourse when accompanied by an adult.
