CALA Homes Showhomes Launch in Balerno Property PR

FIVE stunning new showhomes have been launched in one of Edinburgh’s most sought-after suburbs – offering buyers the opportunity to purchase a slice of semi-rural bliss.

Joining Kingfisher Park which launched last month, Ravelrig Heights’ showhomes will open their doors to the public this Saturday.

The five-bedroom detached showhomes at the Ravelrig Heights and Kingfisher Park developments in Balerno are part of CALA Homes’ (East) new Light and Space collection.

The new collection offers open and flexible living areas, which maximise the light and space throughout these homes and are combined with separate living areas for cosy family nights in and studies for those working from home.

Three of these showhomes can be found at Ravelrig Heights off Ravelrig Road, a beautiful development of 4 & 5 bedroom homes, which features a unique layout, designed around attractive greens and feature gardens, with quiet lanes and characterful cul-de-sacs, each offering their own peaceful seclusion to those living there.

The showhomes here are the epitome of CALA’s Light and Space ethos. Created by Envision interior design, The Macrae, The Melville and the newest addition to the CALA range, The Napier, offer generous gardens, expansive contemporary interiors, and high specification throughout as standard.

The new development is set within enviable surroundings of mature woodland, boasting incredible vistas across rolling countryside towards the iconic Forth bridges and the majestic Edinburgh skyline.

Eileen Kesson, head designer at leading interior design firm Envision, said: “Ravelrig Heights is an exciting development, showcasing three of CALA’s exciting Light and Space home designs.

“The Napier, the largest of the trio, has been designed to express its top of the range credentials.

“It oozes luxury with a rich, sumptuous palette of platinum, weathered bronze, plush teal, turquoise and navy.

“Inspired by Scandinavian style, The Melville makes use of smoky pastels, chalky white and retro wallpaper in the hall to tie the house together. The upstairs also features a collection of fun spaces for younger members of the family.

“Finally, The Macrae features an eclectic mix of furniture and a palette of country greens and sand and peppery terracotta – creating a more relaxed and warm mood. It has been designed to appeal to local Edinburgh downsizers.”

With two further Light and Space showhomes also open at Kingfisher Park, Balerno there is plenty to explore. Kingfisher Park’s layout and range of homes is destined to create a vibrant community, with open space, a play area and a linear park appealing to young families, growing families and downsizers alike.

Showcasing interiors from the highly reputed design house, Blocc Interiors, The Kennedy and The Lowther at Kingfisher Park are also from CALA’s new Light and Space collection and offer spacious homes, ideal for the hustle and bustle of family life.

The Lowther takes its inspiration from the plumage of the majestic Kingfisher, a bird that keen spotters can find at the nearby Water of Leith, while The Kennedy carries elements of the nearby Pentland Hills.

Suzanne Thomas, Creative Sales Director at Blocc, said: “The design of The Lowther started with the colours of the Kingfisher – we added teal velvet sofas to the living room with an orange statement chair.

“Using grey as a base colour to pull it all together makes for an eclectic but stylish look.

“The Kennedy was inspired by the natural surroundings of Balerno, namely the Pentland Hills. The colours used are classic creams and warm taupes with pops of racing car green and a statement wood effect wallpaper in the hallway.”

Although seen as a sanctuary from the city, the leafy suburb of Balerno is within close reach of major roads, including the Edinburgh City Bypass, making both Kingfisher Park and Ravelrig Heights ideal for commuters.

Potential buyers can also enjoy a variety of amenities, from tranquil green spaces to a selection of shops, pubs and restaurants on Balerno’s picturesque high street, and in nearby Currie and Juniper Green.

Philip Hogg, Sales and Marketing Director with CALA Homes (East), said: “Ravelrig Heights and Kingfisher Park have been two of our most eagerly anticipated developments and it has been a pleasure bringing them both to market.

“The developments are ideal for those looking to commute into the city but also looking to live in peaceful serenity.

“The teams at Envision and Blocc have done a truly fantastic job in designing the showhomes with CALA’s Light and Space ethos in mind, making them a must-see for those considering moving to one of Edinburgh’s most sought-after suburbs.

“We fully expect a range of buyers to be interested in both Ravelrig Heights and Kingfisher Park thanks to the large selection of homes.”
