Black Bottom CupcakeThe Black Bottom Cupcake, which is available from Cuckoo’s Bakery on Dundas Street in Edinburgh, was awarded the Regional Silver Award in the Best Individual Small Cake Category at the awards last week, which were hosted by Mich Turner MBE.

Vidya said: “We have always known that our cupcakes are unique and special and now this award proves it. Our Black Bottom cupcake is one of our personal favorites and has always been a best seller and with chocolate and cheesecake in one go – it’s no wonder people love it.

“All our cakes are handmade even down to the intricate and quirky decorations which really help set our cupcakes apart from others in the capital and have even become a bit of a talking point among customers in store and on Facebook and Twitter.

“It’s been an incredible two years since we opened the store and this award win really is the icing on the cake and its puts the seal of approval on everything we do. Thanks to all our customers who keep coming back and spreading the word about our cakes – without them we would not be able to do what we do.”
