Met Mast BanksAfter Banks Renewables received planning permission for a new met mast installment at the Borders, there was a flurry of news coverage.

Plans were submitted by Banks Renewables to erect the met mast at a site in Heriot. The Hunt Law wind farm developments design is hoped to be helped through the installation of the met mast.

The firm went through extensive consultation with local people to discuss these plans, involving community councils in Heriot and in the neighbouring Midlothian communities of Tynewater and Moorfoot.

The construction has been underway since the 16th of February.

The story was featured in the largely circulated newspaper, The National. This therefore generated a lot of awareness of the new project by Banks and hopefully gained the support of the readership.
