Grand opening of care home’s pub by Scottish Rugby legend captured in PR photography

Cramond Residence

Opening of vibrant social space by Andy Irvine scores big with the media thanks to strong images

WHO better to open the pub at Scotland’s most luxurious care home, just in time for the Six Nations, than one of the country’s greatest rugby players?

Having transformed one of its lounges into a new vibrant social space, Cramond Residence wanted to put on a memorable opening event for its residents, inviting former British and Irish Lions star Andy Irvine to cut the ribbon.

Having such a well-known sporting icon paying a visit to the home was the ideal opportunity to harness the power of PR photography to capture the occasion.

To help Cramond Residence tell this brilliant story, we coordinated a photo shoot with Andy, staff and residents in the home’s new pub, helping to source and brief a professional photographer.

The images captured help to propel the story of Cramond’s new pub to the headlines, gaining widespread coverage among local, national and care sector leading publications – the gallery, above, includes a selection of the extensive and valuable coverage generated.

The event was a major success and helped to highlight yet another addition to Cramond’s world class facilities, further boosting the home’s outstanding reputation for its quality of care.
