Big names in Scottish politics prepare for general election by debating major fishing issues – all captured in PR photography
WITH A general election looming, the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation (SFF) reeled in the big fish from across the political spectrum for a high-profile hustings event.
As well as helping organise and support the high-profile debate, our PR experts also ensured the entire proceedings were captured in impactful PR photography.
Set at The Scotsman Hotel in Edinburgh, the hustings focused on the fishing industry, posing questions to politicians and candidates on some of the major issues impacting a sector which is vital to Scotland’s economic wellbeing.
Organised in collaboration with The Times Scotland, the impressive line up included representatives from five of the six political parties in Scotland, including Deputy First Minister Kate Forbes from the SNP; Scottish Labour’s Rhoda Grant; Liam McArthur of the Scottish Liberal Democrats; Rachael Hamilton of the Scottish Conservatives; and the Alba party’s Neale Hanvey.
With many representatives of the Scottish fishing industry poring over the responses, each party was given the opportunity to reel in potential voters by outlining their plans to protect and enhance the nation’s fishing sector over the next five years.
Capturing the main twists and turns of the debate, skilled PR photographers focused on the panellists’ impassioned exchanges and the audience’s reactions, providing a rich visual narrative of this industry-defining event.
