Housebuilder builds links with the local area thanks to digital PR
OUR DIGITAL PR team helped Dundas, Scotland’s largest independent developer to successfully reach the heart of the Musselburgh community.
As it continues to transform prominent land that was formerly a wire mill close to the town’s heart, the firm wanted to ensure it contributed positively to the surrounding area.
It decided to launch a £5000 fund, to be shared between five causes and offered above its various planning-related funding requirements.
Alongside a media campaign, we utilised organic and paid social media promotion to home in on the area and ensure quality causes doing inspiring work were given every opportunity to apply.
It was a great success, with a total of 11 viable, quality applications were received, ensuring the full total could be awarded to inspiring good causes working in Musselburgh.
In addition to this, we delivered the following results across the Dundas social accounts:
- 45 published posts
- 42,227 impressions
- 1,340 engagements
- 213 post link clicks
Our team produced a carefully curated selection of visual assets and key messages that supported and highlighted key milestones around the campaign.
In addition, we utilised some of the organic posts by transforming them into paid ads which not only amplified the initiative but also drove a number of metrics, ultimately reaching more people locally. As a result, we received a host of applications for the fund.
Our digital team also proactively reached out to local Facebook groups, raising awareness of the community fund, which played a key role in the introduction and integration of Dundas amongst other local organisations.
