Accessible vehicle initiative in Buckie wins over media titles

Independent living specialist Blackwood officially launched it’s Peoplehood project and e-car club scheme in Buckie – with experts at a Scottish PR agency on hand to drive media success.

The programme aims to transform the lives of their Buckie residents with the £12.5m injection (which is split across three neighbourhoods – Buckie, Dundee and Glasgow) will provide free tablet PCs and Wi-Fi to all residents.

On top of this, the initiative has launched electric cars and e-bikes to help connect residents to areas out with Buckie, as well as improving general accessibility for locals. This is an important milestone for Blackwood in its journey to develop their neighbourhood-based approach to independent living.
