25 Years at Bell Ingram

Bell Ingram Press releases

25 Years Bell Ingram picIt was the year that Prince Andrew married Sarah Ferguson, the Virgin Atlantic made its inaugural flight and the internet was invented, but it was also a special year for two Perthshire workers as they embarked on new jobs.

A quarter of a century later and life has changed immeasurably for two employees at one of Scotland’s leading property firms as they reminisce over celebrations to mark their special working anniversary.

Richard Till and Peggy Rylance, both based at Bell Ingram’s Perth Head Office, celebrated a milestone in their careers as they were awarded for 25 years service to the company.

CELEBRATIONS

Peggy Rylance, Senior Secretary at Bell Ingram, said: “I just can’t believe I have been here for 25 years. It seems like just yesterday I stepped foot in the office for the first time.

“From a secretarial perspective, so much has changed in the time I have been here. Modern technology has completely revolutionised my work and I have had to ensure that I have been quick to adapt my working practices in order to keep ahead of the times.

“It’s hard to even imagine what life was like before the internet now and it certainly has made my job, keeping everything running smoothly at Bell Ingram, a lot easier.

“I’ve had an absolutely wonderful time over the past 25 years but am hoping to retire at the end of the year. It’ll be a sad day when I do finally say goodbye to the team but I would like to thank them for all their good wishes.”

Celebrations were held for the anniversary at Bell Ingram’s head office last week where Peggy was presented with a gold chain necklace and Richard with an iPad for their hard work over the years.

Richard who is Divisional Director for Forestry at Bell Ingram, said: “My work at Bell Ingram has been incredibly interesting and varied over the past 25 years.

“No two days are ever the same in my line of work which involves managing woodlands for clients, evaluation and consultancy work as well as appraising acquisitions.

“Throughout my time I have helped the forestry team grow from humble beginnings and I am now delighted to say we have a full team of five people working in the forestry department.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working for Bell Ingram and look forward to the years ahead.”

Established 114 years ago, Bell Ingram has over 100 professional staff across 11 UK offices, including chartered surveyors, estate and forestry managers, architects, green energy specialists and estate agents.

HEART OF THE COMPANY

“Both Peggy and Richard have worked incredibly hard over the past 25 years. Their enthusiasm, loyalty and hard graft have been instrumental to the continued success of the company and I would like to thank them on behalf of the whole team at Bell Ingram for their work.”
