It’s been a very happy New Year for all at Holyrood PR as we kick start 2014 as we mean to go on. From patients to pipers, our hard work over the festive season certainly paid off, with a number of our clients hitting those festive headlines.

First up, Healthcare Improvement Scotland has not only taken a starring role on Danish TV but has now also been lapping up the limelight of the borders press. As part of the Scottish Safety Patient Programme to improve patient care, a specialist team at Borders General hospital, showcased its pioneering techniques. Its methods of monitoring the deterioration of patients was broadcast on Danish prime time news as they strive to implement similar programmes throughout Denmark.

Next up, it’s been another piping hot week for the Scottish Schools Pipe Band Championships as they graced the pages of a number of national papers throughout the festive period. Competition organiser David Johnson piped up about how Scotland’s national instrument is under threat due to the lack of funding for tuition in schools.

And finally Scotland’s leading provider of housing and care, Bield has been featured in The Herald and The Daily Record with our story telling readers how pensioners have received a welcome Christmas present in the form of thousands of pounds worth of unpaid pensions.
