PR Agency are bringing coverage back from the future

Avid fans of Back to the Future will know that today is the day in 2015 that Marty and Doc landed on when they time-travelled forward in the sequel of the Hollywood blockbuster.

We have also been jumping through time this week at Holyrood PR, covering stories about the company bringing the future of IT to Edinburgh, and biographing 104 years of history for one elderly gentleman .

We were delighted to make the announcement that our client Commsworld has had a bumper 2015, with revenues jumping 28 per cent up on original forecasts to reach a hugely impressive £12.8m. This is thanks to some landmark deals, plus the launch of Edinburgh as a Gigabit City.

And we weren’t the only ones keen to break the news, the story was the pick of the press – with the Scotsman, The Herald and The National all featuring the story in print and online.

Further to that, trade coverage was secured on ScotlandIS and CommsDealer; plus the business section of the Daily Record and the Daily Business Group.
And that’s not all – we also arranged for a video to support the issue of the release and the professional photoshoot we arranged, and this was featured on the Scottish Business News Network.

Neil McNeil celebrating his 104th birthday with his daily helping of porridge

Our client Bupa secured a big bowl full of coverage this week, after we told the story of an oat loving care home resident’s 104th birthday.

When Neil McNeil told us that his secret to a long life was a daily dish of Scott’s Porage Oats (and sometimes another as a midnight snack), we jumped at the chance to make his milestone birthday hit the headlines.

And after we told them all about Neil’s passion for porridge, the kind-hearted folk at Scott’s Porage Oats sent the centenarian boxes and boxes of his favourite snack as a birthday gift – delivered straight to his care home’s doorstep!

Our story of the 104 year old and his love of the traditional Scottish breakfast cereal dished up a vast array of media, securing two hits in the Daily Record and the Paisley Daily Express, as well as in the Courier and Deadline News.

Finally, it’s also been a successful week for Holyrood PR as we won a three-way pitch to secure the contract for this year’s Perth City Winter Festival.

The organisers loved our creative thinking and expertise in terms of targeting influential media, partly from across the UK.

So have a look out for a flurry of activity as we look to promote key events in the programme, such as the Perth Christmas Lights Switch-On, the Perth Chocolate Festival and St Andrews Day Festival.
